Care begins with people.

St Michaels Homes has been fortunate with its over 250 staff members, some of whom have been with us since we opened our doors in 1991.

We believe the reason staff stay with us is the friendly and fair relationships we build with our team. We recognise that staff need to engage at an emotional level with our residents, and that managers need to support them in this — encouraging a move away from a controlling leadership style towards one that is more empowering and enabling.

This helps us connect more productively with staff and supports them to take the initiative.
